This Pakistani singer has won the hearts of millions of Indians with his lovely voice and soulful singing. Atif Aslam entered first entered the Indian music industry with the Bollywood song 'Woh Lamhe' and since then he has become one of the most sought after singers in the music industry.
Two earlier albums of Atif 'Doorie' and 'Meri Kahani' were also brought out by the Tips Industries Limited. Doorie was released in December 2006 both in India and Pakistan. Atif topped almost all the music charts in both the countries with singles like 'Doorie (Sahi Jaaye Naa)' and 'Kuch Iss Tarah Meri Palkein'.
Meri Kahani is considered to be his highest selling album with record sales of more than 800, 000 units. The 27 year old singer has a deep relation with Tips. A lot of people even consider him as a 'Tips exclusive singer' as many of his songs are purchased by the label.
Tere Bin was initially a song produced by Tips which was later offered to the film Bas Ek Pal. Impressed with Atif's popularity amongst youngsters, Tips invested in a music video of the same song. Tips managing director, Mr. Kumar Taurani revealed that this was the first time they had ever invested in a music video.
Mr. Taurani further commented that as Indo-Pak relations have improved since last year's terror attacks, it is an apt time to launch the new album.
